IDEMIA Smart Card Troubleshooting

If you are getting a message that says your SmartCard Certificate cannot be found
follow the instructions below to download and install the IDEMIA SmartCard Driver to allow Windows to read the card.


    Please note: Administrator Rights are required to perform the steps below.
    If you are on a SRS Computer, open Software Center, search for IDEMIA, select the IDEMIA Smart Card Minidriver package then click install.

    IDEMIA SmartCard Driver Installation:

  1. Browse to the Microsoft Update Catalog:
    Microsoft Catalog Downloads Page for Idemia Driver

  2. Download the most recent version of the "IDEMIA - SmartCard driver" for your Windows Operating System.
    They are listed in decending order by date.

  3. Double Click the cab file. (contents will be displayed)

  4. Select ALL of the files.

  5. Right Click one of the selected files and choose Extract.

  6. Select the location to extract the files. (Recommended: C:\Temp\Idemia (You will have to create this folder))

  7. Open the folder you extracted the files to

  8. Right Click the "inf" (File name will vary depending on the version but will end in .inf and the description will be "Setup Information")

  9. Click Install.

  10. Remove your Smart Card.

  11. Reboot your computer.
